About the event

Elsa Maria Valinas Bio: Elsa Valinas is a Mexican multidisciplinary artist, trained as industrial and interior designer. She is willing to share a piece of her colourful and chaotic culture through her designs. She considers herself very fortunate to come from a country full of contrasts, ancestral traditions and a fantastic mix of pre-Hispanic and modern elements that influence her creative process.

Design is an essential part of her, and one of her favourite materials to work with is clay. Clay’s willingness to be transformed makes it a perfect medium to express the way she perceives the world. Clay is her everyday reminder to live creatively.

She considers Canada and Mexico her home. After graduated from NBCCD in New Brunswick, she moved to PEI to gain experience on production pottery. Back in Fredericton and with her brand Clay Corazon, she is finally perusing her dream of emotively create soulful ceramic companions that remind us to live fully in the present.
