From Aug 10–Aug 14, join Fabiola Martinez and Rothesay Ballet for a colourful Alebrije camp filled with painting, costume-making, and dance, with the opportunity to perform at the Imperial Theatre.

About the event
Enter the magical world of Alebrijes–vibrant, imaginative creatures from Mexican folk art!
During this fun-filled day camp, campers will paint their own Alebrije, create costume pieces inspired by their creature, and explore creative movement and dance in a supportive environment. No dance experience is needed. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the way that feels most comfortable.
Along the way, campers will discover the cultural traditions behind Alebrijes while expressing their creativity through art, movement, and imagination.
The camp concludes with an exciting opportunity to participate in the Día de los Muertos Atlantic Festival production at the Imperial Theatre on November 1st, where campers can bring their Alebrijes to life on stage
